dreams of Egoli now nightmares
the smell of death everywhere

wielding axes, pangas,pistols
an asssortment of weapons

the blood spilling
the proxies at it

who yesterday sought refuge
who today forget their africanness
another truth and reconciliation commission
to expose the present day murderers
the inexplicable mayhem in the ghettoes
that black blood continually spilled
